Terms and Conditions - Skip Hire Harrow

Welcome to our Skip Hire services in Harrow. By engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before hiring a skip.

1. Booking and Cancellation

To reserve a skip, customers must complete our booking form or contact our customer service team. A valid credit or debit card is required to secure the booking.

Booking Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed once payment details are provided.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time will incur no charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

2. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon delivery of the skip. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash payments.

3. Use of the Skip

The skip is to be used solely for the disposal of appropriate waste materials. The following items are prohibited:

Hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, and batteries.

Tyres and rubber products.
Medicines and pharmaceuticals.
Explosives and flammable items.

3.1. Proper Loading:

Customers must ensure that waste is safely and properly loaded into the skip. Overloading or improper loading may pose safety risks and additional charges.

4. Delivery and Collection

Our team will deliver the skip to the designated location within the agreed timeframe. Customers are responsible for ensuring that there is adequate space for the skip and that access is clear.

Delivery: Delivered between 8 AM and 6 PM on agreed dates.
Collection: Collection is scheduled upon confirmation of waste disposal.

4.1.Customer Responsibilities:

Provide accurate delivery information.
Ensure the area is accessible for delivery and collection.
Confirm that the skip is used within the rental period.

5. Rental Period

The standard rental period is one week. Extensions may be requested and are subject to availability and additional charges.

5.1.Extension Requests:

Customers must notify us at least 48 hours before the rental period ends to request an extension.

6. Liability

We are not liable for any damages or loss caused by the misuse of the skip or for any injury resulting from the improper loading of waste.

Damage to Property: Customers are responsible for any damage to property caused during delivery or collection.
Injury: Customers must ensure safe loading to prevent accidents.

6.1.Insurance:

We carry insurance for our skips, but it is advisable for customers to have their own insurance for added protection.

7. Waste Disposal

All waste will be disposed of in compliance with local regulations. We adhere to environmentally friendly practices to minimize our ecological footprint.

Recycling: We prioritize recycling materials where possible.
Disposal Compliance: All disposals comply with Harrow council guidelines.

7.1.Customer Obligations:

Ensure that waste is segregated appropriately.
Do not include prohibited items in the skip.

8. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to terminate service if terms are violated. In such cases, payment for the rental period used up to the point of termination will still apply.

Violation of Terms: Use of the skip for prohibited items.
Non-Payment: Failure to make required payments.

8.1.Immediate Termination:

Immediate termination may occur in cases of hazardous waste disposal or illegal activities.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes via email or through our website.

Notification: Customers will receive updates through registered contact methods.
Acceptance: Continued use of our services signifies acceptance of amended terms.

10.1.Review Period:

Customers are advised to review the Terms and Conditions periodically to stay informed about any changes.

11. Severability
